Bio

Brandon Newton was born in Clearwater, Florida and moved to Fredericksburg, Virginia when he was two years old. He studied under Durwood Dommisse at Virginia Commonwealth University as a Visual Communications major.

Brandon views his work as an opportunity to reach out and let others in. His passion to paint comes from a deep desire to communicate and better understand the things that surround him. Painting allows him the opportunity to be still with life, to observe, to learn, to paint.

Brandon has enjoyed many notable commissions from private party clients as well as corporate and government institutions.

In Our Words

Brandon Newton’s stylized cityscapes are sleek, with just the right touch of whimsical quirkiness to make them remarkable. Color abounds - reflected in evening windows or rain drenched streets - bringing to his scenes a vibrant liveliness that conveys unmistakable energy.
